Darling DIY: Lotion Bars

We didn't  know these were SO easy to make! They're perfect for pampering yourself or to give as a cute gift. You can make them in any shape and with whatever scent you like. All you need is 3 simple ingredients and a little bit of time.

Supplies: Coconut oil, beeswax, Shea butter, and essential oil (optional)

Steps

1) Measure out a 1:1:1 ratio of the 3 ingredients (you may want to add in a little extra beeswax since it is what will help the bar retain it's shape)

*Grating the beeswax can be a little time consuming, but it will melt MUCH faster.
* You can also use CRISCO instead of the Shea butter- it works just the same!

2) Melt together in a double boiler until fully liquid and mixed together. Here is when you can add your favorite essential oil (there should be a guide to how many drops you need to add depending on the volume of your mixture).

3) Pour into your mold (we used cupcake liners inside a muffin tin as well as a silicone ice cube mold).

4) Freeze for about 10 minutes and VOILA!

The heat of your hand warms the bar so you get the perfect amount of lotion onto your hands each time. These are so much fun!
