Darling DIY: Sharpie Quote Mugs

Now that the weather is getting colder, we can't go a day without our steaming hot cup of tea! Whether we're curled up reading a juicy book, watching our favorite romantic comedy, or just having a mid-day chat with our mom- we're always having tea! Which means that we are always in need of more mugs! Our collection is growing (there are some really cute mugs out there!), but we decided to make a couple of these oh-so-simple and very personal quote mugs. All you need is a quick trip to the dollar store for a couple of supplies and your favorite book/movie quote, poem, lyric, etc and you're set. Make sure to make a few this season for yourself, and they make great gifts, too!

Supplies:
1. Dollar store white mugs
2. Black sharpie
3. Rubbing alcohol
3. Your quote

Steps:
1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Clean your mug with rubbing alcohol
3. Write your quote on the mug with your sharpie
4. Bake your mug for 30 minutes
5. Let dry for 24 hours and your mug is good to go!
*I'm not 100% sure if these are dishwasher safe! Just hand-wash them to be safe.

Darling DIY: Tassel Bracelets

Our jewelry making skills are still pretty basic, and we love quick and easy projects that just require some chain and jump rings! Tassels are very trendy right now, but instead of putting oversized tassels all over your shoulder bag, we added a cute little tassel to bracelets. This is a very easy project with a new tassel making technique you can learn. Customize the color so you can have one to match every outfit!

Supplies:
1. Silver chain
2. Silver jump rings
3. Silver lobster clasp
4. Embroidery floss
5. Scissors

Steps:
1. Make your tassels:
a. Wrap the embroidery floss around your index and middle fingers to make a thick loop
b. Wrap the loose end of the floss around the center of your loop and then tie (you will get an "8" shape)
c. Cut one of the loops to open it up.
2. Attach one of your jump rings to the tassel and to the end of the chain
3. Add in the lobster clasp
4.Rock your new bracelet!
